A few of my favorite Dark Romance books this year.

Over the past year, I have read an increasing amount of e-books. I have also explored new genres such as dark romance and, it has been an experience!

The following books are a few that I have enjoyed, in no particular order. I highly recommend that before diving into any of these books, please be sure to take some time and read any trigger warnings. Many of the books below have a trigger warning for specific themes.

These books are also available on Kindle Unlimited!

Sinners Duet by Sophie Lark

Reader be warned: this book contains extremely dark themes that might be triggering to some. This is a steamy serial killer romance that will take you on a journey through the twisted mind of an artist on the brink of madness.

Cole Blackwell values control above all else. As a successful and well-respected artist, he works hard to keep his darkest impulses a secret. What happens when Cole meets Mara Eldritch, a fellow artist whose life is both chaotic and unpredictable?

Cole becomes obsessed with Mara and hiding his true nature becomes a challenge the more time he spends with her. Mara knows he is dangerous and that Cole isn't all he appears to be, but she can't seem to stay away... even if staying might cost her life.

The Sinners Duet was an entertaining read. The chemistry between Cole Blackwell and Mara Eldritch was palpable and intoxicating from the beginning. I was on the edge of my seat and never thought I would like a serial killer romance, but here we are!

Filthy Wicked Psychos by Eva Ashwood

Filthy Wicked Psychos is a reverse harem new adult romance series with dark themes, damaged anti-heroes, and explicit sexual content.

Willow has had a hard life and it just seems to keep getting harder. The only hope that she has is to get a college education to secure a brighter future. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected turn of events, Willow must sell the only thing that she has left to continue going to school, herself.

The night when Willow is prepared to give all that she has left, three men storm into the building, altering her future forever.

The Voronin brothers have lived within the shadows of society since the death of their mother. Anonymity in their line of work is essential, but when an unexpected witness turns up in their latest job, they can't just let her go.

While the first book took a little while to pick up, the whole series is an addicting, steamy adventure. I loved watching the dynamic of Willow and the Voronin brothers and how the chemistry between them grows with each book.

The Mind F*ck series by S.T. Abby

Graphic Adult language**Some triggers could be too much for the easily disturbed reader**Sexual content**Fucked up moral compass; read at your own risk.

Logan Bennet is a hero.

He hunts the most sick and depraved of society to bring them to justice.

Lana Myers is no hero.

She hunts the most sick and depraved of society, but while Logan saves lives, Lana Myers takes them. She has a blood debt to collect and the only currency she takes is their lives.

Lana knows she should stay away from Logan, but she never expected to fall in love. Now it's too late to stop and it's about time everyone hears about the story that has been buried for 10 years.

Lana Myers is probably one of my favorite FMC. She has trained and prepared for 10 years to finally get the revenge that is owed. She will paint the walls red until all that is left is the truth.
